Naked Pizza Introduces Club Kids to Healthy Alternative

One of the Boys & Girls Club’s core program outcomes is helping youth lead healthy lifestyles. As part of the fall curriculum, the Boys & Girls Club’s extended day learning program at the Gregory School welcomed guests from Naked Pizza for a discussion on healthy eating habits and a pizza party.

Kathy Vik, owner of Naked Pizza on Parkway Avenue in Ewing, visited with Club kids and gave an exciting presentation on how to make good food choices. She also brought along a generous donation of Naked Pizza for all to enjoy.

“I am so glad to have the opportunity to present some of Naked Pizza’s healthy eating tips to you”, said Kathy Vik to Club kids during her presentation. “Eating healthy is important if you want to grow strong and it’s a lot more fun to make healthy food choices when what you eat tastes good too!”

Naked Pizza focuses on a more natural way of making pizza, starting with using more whole grains, fruits and vegetables and avoiding ingredients that are high in fat and sugar.
Naked pizza is made from 10 grains without any added sugar hormones, antibiotics or artificial preservatives.

Thanks to companies like Naked Pizza, kids learn about healthy eating, and how to make smarter food choices on an everyday basis. Hands-on learning activities such as these are a “staple” in our extended day learning programs.
