SCRABBLE® Challenge to Help After-School Programs

Scrabble players of all skill levels are invited to participate in the Boys & Girls Club SCRABBLE Challenge on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Jasna Polana in Princeton. The event – which sold out last year – will match teams of three players each in two 30-minute games.

Proceeds from the Scrabble Challenge will benefit extended day learning programs at the Club. The organization offers daily recreational and academic enrichment programs to 1,200 kids in grades K to 8 at its Clubhouse and in 11 public schools in the City of Trenton.

Through games-based programming, the Boys & Girls Club makes learning fun for kids every day. Club kids play math and vocabulary bingo on iPod touches, participate in Jeopardy-style knowledge bowls, and compete in chess and scrabble tournaments yearly.
