Children Designing & Engineering
Children Designing and Engineering™ (CD&E) prepares students to participate in tomorrow’s rapidly changing world by combining practical skills with an understanding of aesthetics, social and environmental issues.
Students learn through innovative and creative programs how to think and intervene creatively to improve the quality of life. Club Members become autonomous and creative problem solvers as individuals and members of a team. They define needs, wants, and opportunities and respond to them by developing and evaluating a range of ideas.
The CD&E Program is designed and delivered at the Boys & Girls Club by The College of New Jersey. Participants meet twice weekly during the school year and then daily during summer camp. It is funded by a generous grant from the Martinson Family Foundation.
